Professional Bull Riders' Velocity Tour Returns to Bridgeport, CT, and Total Mortgage Arena for Second Consecutive Season Feb. 28-March 1, 2025

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (October 14, 2024) – For the second consecutive season, PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour will buck into Bridgeport, Connecticut, bringing PBR Bridgeport to Total Mortgage Arena Feb. 28-March 1, 2025.
PBR Bridgeport will have added significance as the PBR’s lone event in Connecticut during the 2025 individual season.
For two nights only, some of the best bull riders in the world will battle the sport’s rankest bovine athletes in the ultimate showdown of man vs. beast in one of the most exciting and unpredictable live sporting events to witness.
PBR’s return to Bridgeport comes on the spurs of one of the organization’s most dynamic individual seasons in 2024 as the Velocity Tour held 30 regular-season events across four months, including 12 weekends with two events held simultaneously. Welcoming more than 356,000 fans throughout the season, the Velocity Tour hosted 20 sold out event days, marking its most successful season in attendance since its inception in 2015.
The upcoming PBR Bridgeport will be the 18th event of the new individual season for the PBR’s expansion series. Eventgoers will watch on as riders vie for crucial points in the race to be crowned the 2025 PBR Velocity Tour Champion.
When PBR’s Velocity Tour debuted in Bridgeport in March 2024, Hunter Ball (Carsonville, Michigan) and Grayson Cole (New Riggold, Pennsylvania) emerged the supreme competitors, tying for the event win at PBR Bridgeport.
Both Ball and Cole went 1-for-3 to garner 93 points in the race for the 2024 PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Championship.
Ball was sensational in Round 1, delivering the top score when he bested Juicy Fruit (C-B Bucking Bulls) for 84 points. Cole posted his matching 84-point ride to top the leaderboard in Round 2 as he went the distance aboard Nighttime Crime (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls).
As the season continued to unfurl, Ball remained atop the Velocity Tour standings before concluding the campaign No. 12 in the standings. Cole logged an additional event win, and five Top-10 finishes, including a ninth-place result at the 2024 Velocity Tour Finals, en route to being crowned the 2024 PBR Velocity Tour Champion.
Prior to the debut of PBR’s Velocity Tour in Bridgeport in 2024, the Connecticut city previously welcomed the organization’s developmental tour four times, in 2006-2007, 2009 and 2011.
The bull riding action for PBR Bridgeport begins with Round 1 at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, Feb. 28, followed by Round 2 and the championship round at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 1. All 35 competing bull riders will get on one bull each in Round 1 on Feb. 28 and Round 2 on March 1. The riders’ individual two-round scores will be totaled with the Top 10 advancing to the championship round on Saturday evening for one more out and a chance at the event title.
